[ARCHIVED] Solid Waste Authority facilities and service to resume Saturday

Normal waste and recycling collection in unincorporated Palm Beach County will resume on regularly scheduled collection days beginning Saturday, Oct. 8.

All SWA facilities will stay open until 5 p.m. Saturday. All SWA facilities will run extended hours Monday through Friday of next week, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

County residents are asked to keep their waste and debris piles separate:

  • Put garbage and recyclables out on your regularly scheduled day,
  • Put vegetation only in a second pile, and,
  • Put all other storm debris in a third pile.

Be sure to keep these three piles separate and away from power lines, fire hydrants and mailboxes, to help speed our recovery.

For additional collection service information in unincorporated parts of the county, contact SWA Customer Information Services at 561-697-2700 or 866-792-4636 (toll-free), or email them at ContactCIS @
