If you’re wondering what to do with your live Christmas tree now that Christmas is over, we’ve got an easy answer for you. Residents of unincorporated Palm Beach County can place their Christmas trees curbside on their regular yard waste collection day. Christmas trees up to 8-feet long and weighing less than 50-pounds can be placed at the curb as-is, while trees larger than 8-feet long should be cut in half. Remember to remove all decorations, lights and tinsel before placing your tree at the curb.

Please note that unincorporated residents who live in a multi-family community with dumpster service should contact their homeowner’s association or property management company directly for disposal procedures.

Single family home residents who live in one of Palm Beach County’s 39 municipalities should contact their municipality directly for its Christmas tree collection procedures. A list of municipal contacts can be found online.

More information is available online at SWA.org. Residents can also contact SWA Customer Service with questions or comments by phone at 561-697-2700 or toll-free at 866-SWA-INFO (866-792-4636), or email at ContactCIS@swa.org.
