[ARCHIVED] No trash pick up in unincorporated Palm Beach County on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

2019 Xmas Day Collection

Live in unincorporated Palm Beach County? There are only two observed holidays during which there is no garbage service and all SWA facilities are closed. This year they are Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28) and Christmas Day (Wednesday, Dec. 25).

With the new collection service using standardized garbage carts, garbage will be collected outside of the cart on the Friday, Saturday and Monday following Thanksgiving, and from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1, under the new contract. Residents still should place all debris normally collected on these days curbside by 6 a.m.

While there will be trash pick up Christmas Eve, SWA administrative offices will be closed. However, a limited number of Customer Service team members will be available to assist residents with any garbage or recyclable collection questions or concerns. SWA Customer Service can be reached at 561-697-2700 or 866-792-4636.

Residents in unincorporated Palm Beach County can always see their updated collection schedule, set reminders and sign up for collection information by clicking the “My Pick-Up Days” button at
