Community Tour

Full Description

This tour will include a walk-through of the SWA Renewable Energy Facility 2 and Recovered Materials Processing Facility. It will also include a rolling tour of the Home Chemical and Recycling Center, Sanitary Landfills, Renewable Energy Facility 1 and Biosolids Processing Facility.

All participants must wear closed-toe walking shoes, preferably tennis shoes. Please dress for the weather. Water bottles are encouraged. Water fountains are available to refill water bottles as needed. Cameras are allowed for photography, however we do ask that all participants be respectful and not use electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, game devices, etc.) during the program.

There is no minimum age requirement for tour attendees. However, all children under the age of 18 must be closely supervised by an adult at all times while on SWA property. Children who require a booster or car seat must have one with them; one will not be provided.
