Government Agency Waste Disposal

GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

The SWA does not in general accept hazardous waste from other government agencies simply because most agencies have larger quantities than the SWA VSQG program is designed to handle; and have the resources and staff to arrange and manage disposal.

OPTIONS FOR WASTE DISPOSAL

The SWA can assist with finding appropriate disposal and resources; and has various disposal contracts in place that can be ’piggybacked’ in many cases.

SWA Contracts
  • Hazardous Waste Disposal Services
  • Electronics Recycling
  • Used Oil
  • Recycling of Latex Paint
  • Used Cooking Oil
  • Lead Acid Batteries
  • Fluorescent Lambs and Mercury Devices
Government Agencies

Local, State, and Federal agencies are responsible for managing and disposing of their hazardous wastes no differently than than any other business. In fact government agencies are often some of the largest generators of hazardous waste when multiple departments and facilities are aggregated.
