The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County values the opinions of Palm Beach County's residents and business owners and encourages their input. The purpose of the Citizens' Advisory Committee is to act in an advisory capacity to the SWA. In this capacity, the CAC shall review, comment and/or make recommendations to the Authority on matters of Administration, planning for and operation of facilities as they pertain to the legislative responsibilities of the Authority in its enabling legislation.
The 11 CAC members are appointed by the Governing Board of the Authority, with each Governing Board member appointing 1 member from their district and the other 4 appointed at-large.
Meetings of the CAC are usually held at 1:30 p.m. every other month beginning in February, though that is subject to change. See the meetings listed at right, or visit the CAC meeting calendar page.
