WHERE CAN I TAKE HHW?

SWA Home Chemical and Recycling Centers (HCRCs)
Located at the SWA's Transfer Stations and Jog Road campus, Home Chemical and Recycling Centers (HCRCs) are convenient one-stop drop-off sites for both home chemicals and regular recyclable items.  

      Materials Accepted

• All types of Household Hazardous Waste. Quantity limits may apply.

• The HCRCs also have large recycling drop-off containers for all the same items that go into the blue and yellow curbside bins. See what can be recycled in Palm Beach County»

      NOT Accepted

• Sharps and medical waste
• Drugs and medicines
  

Other Options
Many big box stores and larger retail chains accept certain materials, like rechargeable batteries, CFLs, used oil, cell phones and electronics.
